Florence, Italy – September 27, 2020
By Mamta Jharia
It is with deep gratitude and pride that I share a milestone in my artistic journey — being awarded the Leonardo da Vinci International Prize, one of the most esteemed recognitions in the world of contemporary art.
This prestigious honor was presented to me at the Palazzo Ximènes Panciatichi in Florence, a city forever tied to the Renaissance spirit of artistic excellence. The award celebrates artists who have significantly contributed to enhancing the value of art and Italian creativity on an international stage.
🏆 The Ceremony & Recognition
I was humbled to receive this recognition among a global circle of talented artists. The prize was organized by Art Now, Effetto Arte, and Serradifalco Publisher, whose mission is to elevate meaningful contemporary expression. The event took place in a formal ceremony and featured a curated selection of works by international creators.
As noted in my official certificate, my artistic style and expressive quality were recognized as “a valid example of precious expressiveness” and an integral presence in an event “infused with history.”
Featured in the Official Art Publication
Alongside the award, one of my paintings — titled “we” (acrylic on canvas, 50×70 cm) — was featured in the Leonardo da Vinci Prize Art Catalog, published by Art Now. This publication showcases selected works and bios of awarded artists and will remain a part of the prize’s international record.
Reflections
Receiving this award is more than a personal achievement — it is a reminder of the power of artistic voice, emotion, and storytelling. I remain deeply committed to creating work that resonates with others and continues to explore new forms of visual narrative.
